The course is specifically aimed at trainees who will sit the CICM fellowship clinical examination.

Critical Care Echo
The RMH Critical Care Transthoracic Echocardiography Course is a 6-week course that combines preparation using a TTE simulator and online case studies to develop basic skills, followed by a 2-day intensive workshop held in the RMH ICU. The workshop is taught by a faculty of Intensivists, Cardiac Anaesthetists and an expert ultrasonographer.
The course is aimed at ICU, ED and anaesthetic doctors of all levels.
Time to consolidate basic skills before moving to the challenging environment of scanning ICU patients appears to be a successful method of learning.
